چکیده
Geopolymer composites have been around only for 40 years. Nowadays, they are used in buildings and infrastructures of various kinds. A geopolymer’s main benefit is that it a green material partially made by utilizing waste products. The carbon footprint from geopolymer matrix manufacturing at least two times less than Portland cement manufacturing. Due to the nature process, there high risk shrinkage could develop unwanted micro-cracks reduce strength create higher creep strains. Because this concern, common strategy long-term strains material, such as creep, add fiber reinforcement would constrain crack development material. This article aims determine how kinds amounts different affect fly ash-based composites’ compression. Specimen mixes were produced with 1% steel fibers, polypropylene 5% without fibers (plain geopolymer). For testing, cylindrical specimens Ø46 × 190 mm used. highest resistance was observed specimens, followed fiber, plain, specimens. compressive plain fiber-reinforced mix improved properties inclusion, whereas other fiber-introduced showed significant decreases properties. composite reduction 31% compared composite.

متن کاملFly Ash-Based Geopolymer Mortar Incorporating Bottom Ash
This paper presents the results of study on effect of various parameters on mechanical properties of fly ash-based geopolymer mortar with bottom ash as partial or full replacement for sand. Compressive strength of samples with 10% bottom ash (BA) was comparable to those with only sand. Further increase in bottom ash content decreased the compressive strength. However, the reverse tendency occur...

متن کاملA Comprehensive Study of the Polypropylene Fiber Reinforced Fly Ash Based Geopolymer
As a cementitious material, geopolymers show a high quasi-brittle behavior and a relatively low fracture energy. To overcome such a weakness, incorporation of fibers to a brittle matrix is a well-known technique to enhance the flexural properties. This study comprehensively evaluates the short and long term impacts of different volume percentages of polypropylene fiber (PPF) reinforcement on fl...
متن کاملEffect of Glass Powder and GGBS on Strength of Fly Ash Based Geopolymer Concrete
In this study, the effect of glass powder (GP) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) on the compressive strength of Fly ash based geopolymer concrete has been investigated. The mass ratio of fine aggregate (fA) to coarse aggregate (CA) was maintained constant. NaOH flakes dissolved in water was used as activating liquid and mixed with fly ash (FA) to produce geopolymer paste or cement...
